The following images uploaded are examples of my best work chosen to show my talents in all areas of design; hand- drawn illustration, photography, typography, Photoshop and Illustrator skill and my general creative flair. Examples of all aspects can be found collected from my work done in the past year during my art foundation course. I am a hard working and creative designer with a passion for all art and graphic design and have tried my best to display my design qualities in the works uploaded. All illustrations and typography included in my examples are of my own creation either hand- drawn or formed on Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. This year I achieved a merit grade for my foundation degree at De Monfort University Leicester for my FMP entitled “Transport” some examples of work from this project included, but my passion for design stretches out much further than just my studies and a lot of the works uploaded here have been done independently from school or university. I have wanted to join a graphic design course since beginning my A- levels 3 years ago studying Graphic product, Art and maths, and it has always been my favoured subject in which I strive to perform to the best of my ability. Manchester met. really stood out for me as the university I most want to be a part of. I have visited the city of Manchester many times whilst visiting family there and the city being the vast urban and industrial centre that it is, I cannot help but be inspired by its wide variation of people and culture. I have also researched into Manchester Metropolitan’s graphic design course, facilities and the standard of work your students achieve makes me very enthusiastic to become a valuable member of your course. I was also very impressed with the placement opportunities you have on offer to students, and being an ambitious and hard working designer I would strive to take full advantage of every opportunity and aid the university can offer me in order to begin my career as a graphic designer and also to become a true asset to my course. Thank you for reading.
